Experimental and numerical modelling of the mechanical behavior of metallic and/or composite bonded and/or bolted joints

The manufacturing of mechanical systems mainly requires the assembly of several structural subcomponents. The first function of joints is to allow for the physical existence of mechanical systems. Moreover, the joints allow for the transfer of loads between the joined structural subcomponents, composing the mechanical system. The mechanical system life is then highly dependent on these joints. The assemblies are the critical point of every manufacturing industries.

My research theme consists in investigating the questions raised by joining technologies such as adhesive bonding and mechanical fastening.
